You do have to register at bug-zilla.  I think you have to do that for each OpenSource project as i 
already have registered with it for a few other projects.  There probably is a way of using the 
same login but i don't spend much time there so i just go with what's easiest for me.

I don't know how they sort things out there.  I would just post the report and let the triagers 
file it in the right place.  It would be great if more people from this list were able to lend a 
hand with triaging as it can be very fast and quite simple.  It's a good way into the devs world 
and frees them up to do the more complex tasks.  

I don't think it's possible for a moderator here to disentangle the various topics covered in this 
thread.  I try to catch these things early and split the new topic off into a new thread but it's 
too late for this one.  However maybe next time the issue arises we will give better answers faster 
based on what we have learned here.  The last few times this issue has cropped up has been a bit 
hopeless in terms of lack of responses so things are improving.  More people know more due to this 
thread.  Now that knowledge just needs to find it's way into documentation or another thread that 
is labelled relevantly.  If you are able to join the docs team and/or help write-up a page for the 
Faq/wiki that would be a fantastic start that people could add to or format nicely.  I just created 
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/UserProfile
with help from Hagar Delest as he created the original one for OpenOffice.

Console lives by any chance? And do I need to create a separate login for
bugzilla in order to file a report?

their own thread, nobody is going to find them here except by accident.
