Hi :)
Once you have selected the words can you right-click and see what options you have in there for
formatting text? I haven't tried it but often when programs don't let you access their formatting
tool-bars you can still use a right-click menu (or keyboard short-cuts such as Ctrl B to make
things bold)
Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Text highlighting in LO Impress
To: users@global.libreoffice.org
Date: Thursday, 27 October, 2011, 23:44
Hello!
Could someone please tell me if it is possible to
choose the text
background colour in LO Impress just like one can do it in
LO Writer?
The problem is: I can easily "mark" (or "highlight")
any separate word
with any colour in Writer, but I cannot find such function
in Impress,
while it is quite important for the presentations.
Thanks for any help!
Vladimir
