I want the columns to each be the same width (the width of the selected columns divided by the number of selected columns).
I found this:


  Space Columns Equally

Adjusts the width of the selected columns to match the width of the widest column in the selection. The total width of the table cannot exceed the width of the page
but it is not what I want.

I can merge all the cells into one column and then split the one column into equal parts or I can manually set the column widths but each of those methods has drawbacks.
