I don't think it's urgent but it is worth researching

I am not sure if you can have both on the same system at the same time.  It might be worth setting 
up a virtual machine and testing it that way if possible.

Do you know if this will work in parallel with MySQl until 
things can be migrated? Also so phpMyAdmin or something 
similar work with it?
