Hi :)
The problem probably is the image. Do you know what format the picture is in?

The best formats are svg (scalar vector graphics), png, jpg, tiff (i hope), gif
err, there is a long list of others that are also compatible with many
programs. MS likes to try to force people into using formats that are not
compatible with non-MS programs as it forces people to buy their products. Even
their new docX format does not always appear the same when viewed in different
releases of their own MS Office. So people still using the 'old' MS Office 2007
are forced into buying the newer MS Office 2010, and 'soon' the newer release.
Compare with "Open Document Formats" or even Open Standards.

MS' 'old' ".doc" format is now widely compatible with a huge range of programs
which is one of the main reasons (imo) that they created the docX format. MS is
a profit-making company that uses software to create profits for their
shareholders.

Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: RE: [libreoffice-users] problem to open a word docx file

Hello Loddi,

Docx with LO does seem to be less than 100% successful sometimes. Can you use
Word to save the document in a different format (.doc perhaps) and then use LO
to open that?

Regards,

Tony Royston.

Subject: [libreoffice-users] problem to open a word docx file

Hi everybody,

I have LibreOffice 3.4.2 installed and have a problem to open a docx file. It
only shows 3 pages of the document, which has 21 pages (opened with word on
another machine there are 21 pages).
On page 4 there is a graphic made with viso. Maybe this is the problem? How can
I see all pages in Libreoffice?

Regards
