[libreoffice-users] printing non-standard page sizes

I've always had a lot of trouble printing when I setup a custom page size in the 
page properties. It seems like the print dialog tries to find the best fit of 
the predefined page sizes. Furthermore, I have no clue what the manual option is 
attempting to do.

Is there something I'm missing here?

LibreOffice 3.4.2rc2
Linux 2.6.39
CUPS 1.4.7

Also, why does Libre use it's own print dialog? Other programs that use the 
uniform dialog (like gedit and Abiword) have no problem with funky page sizes.
