Hi :)
This guide helps install multiple versions of LibreOffice
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel
A straight-forwards install that ignores the guide occasionally runs into
trouble. I think the problem is when you try to have both versions open at the
same time. So, it helps to set the QuickStarter to be off.
Regards from
Tom :)

After successfully downloading 3.4, I get the following message when trying to
install it. I have tried to figure out how to exit 3.3 when I haven’t even
opened it. I have no idea what Quickstarter is. Any suggestions.
Do you see a LibreOffice icon in the task bar close to the clock on your
computer? Looks probably like a sheet of paper with a folded edge. If you see
this icon, do a left click on it. Then a menu will appear. Click on "Deactivate
quick starter" (or something similar - I use the German version). Once you've
done this, you can install the new version of LibreOffice.
Hope this helps.
