2011/7/12 MichaelB <mrbou@mckanes.com>:
Oups sorry..
Mo (Mega Octet) = MB (Mega Byte)
So ~2.5 MB in my case...
So the resulting .odp file is 2.5 MB? That is very big for an .odp, I
think. I don't do presentations myself, but it sounds big anyway.
It seems to me that 5 seconds for .odp could be pretty normal
considering that saving to .ppt format takes about 1.5 seconds. A .ppt
file is, as far as I know, a binary file, but a .odp file is a zip
file containing a couple of files and folders, so when you save as
.odp, files need to be compressed, which takes some time.
So no bug if you ask me.
By the way, how long does it take to uncompress the file with, for
example, FileRoller? You might need to change the file suffix to .zip
before trying that, or maybe not…
Regards
Johnny Rosenberg
