I only have the one printer in Snow Leopard, but I think you problem
lies
with System X rather than LibreO.
Way back I changed printers and I had to remove the old printer
before the
new printer became the real Default.
That was in the days of Panther though.

I don't have a default printer set. I have OSX set to default to "last
printer used." And this works as intended with both NeoOffice and
OpenOffice, so it would not seem to be an OSX issue. The printers are
an HP and Brother, no Epson.
