I believe Peppermint is a Debian/Ubuntu derivative so you need to have .deb
files, Debain install package. I assume you have Peppermint installed on
your computer. If you have rpm files they will not install easily on a
Debian/Ubuntu derivative.

If you have deb files you can try right clicking on the LO main deb and
click on install using a package installer it is probably the Gebi
installer. It will the first choice on the menu. Enter your user password
when asked. It will install automatically. Repeat the procedure if have the
help files and SDK downloaded.

There is an alternate procedure some will mention about using terminal, it
is not as bad as sounds.
