Oddly enough, LO3.3.2 for Win32 (on Windows 7) does not show me any File | Export ... XHTML option.
The only formats are PDF and MediaWiki TXT.
LO3.4.0rc1 does have Export...XHTML. When I do that the result is much worse than for the HTML
that I get. Also, the table of content links fail badly. I think this is a bug related to
absolute versus relative URLs. For example, the following URL that my browser is trying to resolve
is simply wrong.
file://whs/Users/orcmid/docs/associazione/standards/OASIS/ODF/Errata-Maintenance/ODF-1.1-Errata-01%20Development/#__RefHeading__19223_1177041755
And the reason that it is getting this wrong is not because of the underlines but because of this
bogus <a> element in the TOC:
<a href="./#__RefHeading__19223_1177041755" class="Internet_20_link">Introduction 3</a>
The "./" is simply incorrect.
There is so much other garbage in the XHTML that I would flat-out not use it. It renders much
worse than the HTML that I get from Save As ... HTML.
There is something else that has the formats of my fragment identifiers be different than the ones
you are seeing. It may be how my TOC is generated from headings is different.

Just as a note. I was using export to xhtml option.

With LO3.3.2 Win32 (on Windows 7) the Writer Save As ... HTML action produces correct links from
the TOC items to the sections of the document. LO3.4.0rc1 also produces a linking TOC
successfully. I see other difficulties with the HTML, but not that.
Here's an example of a TOC entry in the HTML from LO3.4.0rc1:
<P STYLE="margin-top: 0.04in; margin-bottom: 0.04in; background: transparent;
page-break-before: auto">
1 <A CLASS="western" HREF="#__RefHeading__19223_1177041755">Introduction 3</A></P>
(You can see the relatively-small LO3.3.2 test files I am using to
confirm consistency of the three forms at
<http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/group_public/document.php?document_id=
42264>.)
I have no idea why the Win32 and other builds would differ in this regard. I suspect there is
some subtle difference in our documents that leads to the breakage we encounter. I find there
are many ways for that sort of thing to arise. Oh, and I have the Tools | Options | Load/Save |
General | ODF format version set to 1.0/1.1 and HTML Compatibility set to the default (?)
(Netscape Navigator) and Unicode (UTF-8). I'm not sure why any of these would matter in this
case.

While working on documentation of a project that has a TOC with links that work in the ODT and
PDF versions, but the HTML version would not jump to the links? In looking at the HTML code, I
found the problem and was able to manually fix it.
The links in the TOC had a_ in front of them, but when I found the matchin id= they had a__ (two
_ instead of just one). Doing a search and replace fixed the issue. I thought it might be that I
had a beta version, so I downloaded the latest linux version, and installed it. But the same
thing happened with the 3.3.2.
Haven't tried it in the windows version, since I don't have windows on home machines. Looked for
a place to report this as a bug, but the list is the best I was able to find.
Thanks.
