Hi :) Ok, i still don't know anything about network configurations. I think it could just be permissions for the server-user-name? When you login to the local desktop machine it then has to login to the network. If you have different users on the local desktop then they could all be given the same or different logins to the file-server. Somehow i think your desktop's user has been given a 'wrong' file-server login. Can you copy files over the network onto your machine, edit and then save them back across the network? Does your desktop machine have at least 15Gb free and would you like someone to guide you through installing Ubuntu as a dual-boot alongside your existing Windows? I would be happy to help anyone with that. Regards from Tom :) ________________________________ From: calde <calde@interfree.it> To: users@libreoffice.org Sent: Wed, 11 May, 2011 8:09:27 Subject: [libreoffice-users] Re: Documents won't open on network shared folder by double click I've tried OpenOffice freshly downloaded. Same issue. I've tried to associate *.doc files to Scite and MSWordpad and they work fine. Same issue on *.ods and *.xls. However another pc on the same lan with OO3.2.0 installed and local mirroring works fine. I think I have a problem on my pc. -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Documents-won-t-open-on-network-shared-folder-by-double-click-tp2922140p2926309.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to users+help@libreoffice.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to users+help@libreoffice.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
