Hi,
I developed a database in Access and "connected" then saved it into Base. I
can read my tables but when I go to add a new table I get the error "Could
not append colum: invalid column descriptor."
And when I click OK I get, "Error while saving the table design. Invalid
field definition "id' in definition of index or relationship"
You would need to tell us what the definition of your table is in order
for us to be able to try and help you. That error message points to the
use of a field type as the index field that LibreOffice doesn't accept.
This may also be why your table structure defaults to read only. For
example, do you have multiple fields as a single index ? If so, are they
of different types (eg. a combination of CHAR and INT) ? Or, do you have
a FK relationship that points to multiple or combined indices (I don't
think LibO Base can handle these) ?
FWIW, from what I have read elsewhere, you can not alter the structure
of an existing table in an Access MDB via LibreOffice.
