Hi,
Is it possible to update to LibreOffice from an earlier OpenOffice version,
specifically on Windows?
Thanks,
JP
I had OOo on my Vista laptop. I added LibreOffice to the laptop for
testing. Then removed OOo from my laptop. I use LibreOffice 3.3.1
instead of the 3.2.x version of OOo.
I have been told that you can use both on the same Windows machine, but
I decided not to.

The term "update to" is not really correct. You are replacing OOo with
LibreOffice. Actually you cannot "update" OOo either. You have to
replace version 3.2.x with 3.3.x completely, except some personal info
that might be kept between installs. An update usually means taking a
small install file to change only the needed files to make it updated to
the new version. What you are doing is "upgrading". I know this is
"splitting-hairs" but some people at a higher management level would not
like it if you do not use the proper term. Being I no longer work for
others, any more, I tend to use "update" and "upgrade" as if they are
describing the same thing.
