Hi,



What I can see clearly is that LibreOffice and OpenOffice don't support
Microsoft Office 2007 formats, but they do support Microsoft Office
97/XP/2000/2003 and ODF formats very well... Please check if there's any
instalation error in your LibreOffice package (give priority to Repositories
install of libreoffice package instead of intalling it manually)...

I, for example, had a bad experience the first time in my life with
LibreOffice to edit a docx. I lost at least two hours of work. That's
because the company just sent me the "said format" (argh!!!!). To not happen
again, I started to convert odt, work on the file and then convert back to
doc, not to docx.
