Hi :)
OpenOffice and LibreOffice often create problems for each other when both are
installed. Try uninstalling one of them and then reinstall the one you are
keeping. Since they are both free uninstalling and reinstalling is relatively
trivial. Apparently there is some weird setting in OpenOffice that stops them
both being easy to use together.
Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: Re: [libreoffice-users] the table starts everytime in a new page -
after I type the heading for the table

I have been using OOO 3.2, and now have installed libre office 3.3,
yesterday.
In both I have noticed the following :
- whenever I tried making a table (mainly for tender
specification-cum-compliance) wherein I create a table with say 3 to 4
coloums, and tried cutting & pasting in each cell, the table starts in a new
page.
When you copy & paste, try to insert as "text only". I think, this can be
achieved by using CTRL+Shift+V instead of STRL+V.
You could also check the properties of the table. To do this, move your cursor
into the table and the table toolbar appears. There's an icon called "Table
properties" (a table with a small hammer, the 3rd icon from the right in the
second row in my installation). Go to the register "Text flow" and check, if
there is a checkmark for "Break". It's the very first entry on this tab. If
there is, just remove it and your table should appear again on the previous page
when you close the dialog.
- this is happening always with both the OOO & LO3.3
- I will usually have 3 or 4 lines - which contains the headings and after
than I create a table. Every time in this page - only the headings will be
there. The table gets to the next page, leaving the first page fully blank
- only with the headings.
What should I do for making the table which was created - just after the
headings - to stay there only.
please help.
I hope, that the above description will help you sort your problem out. If it
doesn't work, then please come back and describe what you did.
