The renew emails are not the same as the Chinese emails.Yes I hold LibreOffice-NA.US. I think I even asked someone in TDF/LibreOffice "management" is I could use LibreOffice in a domain name.
To be honest, there are scams where I get calls from my domain and web hosting service that are not from them. Before I had a black list filter "NoMoRobo" on my VoIP phone, I would get then several times a month. Now these calls ring once and the filter "hang up on the calls with a message" That does not stop email spam and scams. This black list filter for my Voice over IP phone system was a free option. It is an available "free" APP for iPhones, but not yet for my for my Android cell phone and most of my family use Android as well.
The Chinese domain emails are not going to a separate email folder for these "suspected" scams/spams. I have one folder for each of the different email lists I am a part of as well.
As I stated to the Chinese people - I am not giving up my LO domain. As I stated before - I have auto renewal with my domain and hosting company. Actually I went has 2 different domain registry companies before I got GoDaddy and 3 hosting companies as well. I have been with Godaddy for over 10 years now, and I do not thing I would change - especially for one that charges several times as much.
I am down to 3 domains now - dumping 4 others since 2005. I do not need those domains anymore.
One domain - krackedpress.com - I use only for email accounts - like the I use for this list. I also have 2 emails accounts from my Internet provider and 3 Gmail accounts. I even have an email addresses with the following formats [wife's and mine] - first-name@last-name.com . Some companies think they are not valid addresses, so I use a Gmail address for these places.

do not fall for that. They are putting pressure on you to compel you to renew with them at exorbitant prices. This is a well-known and old scam, and you can google it. I have for all of my registered domain names over the past 20 years received those same emails, and I never budged. No one ever registered the web sites as threatened. LibreOffice is a TM, and you hold libreoffice-NA.US. If in fact they register, Chinese IP rights have gotten a lot better. Again, do not fall for it. Since I have had my domain for several years, and this Chinese company is just starting up - so I believe from the emails - so I have the "keyword" and "fair-use trademark".SO, have anyone in this list know of any Chinese LibreOffice "company"wanting to use LibreOffice-NA as part of their domain?I use it myself and it is a shortened name meaning the following: LibreOffice-NA.US LibreOffice - North America - in the USA. I really like to know what is going on with the info I am getting fromChina stating that someone is trying to register my domain name and wanting me to give it up.Currently, I am not doing much with that domain, but hope to have someadd-ons for LibreOffice - like my specialized color palettes. I do have some palettes created, but they are not quite ready for full publishing. Also I need to remember where Win10 and Linux RPM "hides" the color palettes. I know where Linux DEB "hides" these files.Tim L.If your registration is not about to expire you have norhing to worry about. If so, renew ASAP. My two cents. BestI have all of my domains set to auto renew, just in case I forget to renew after I get a renewal notice. It seems that the Chinese registry feels I may have troubles. I just want to fine out what is going on. It seems to be a Chinese company wanting to deal with LibreOffice in some way. So I thought someone here might know something about this Chinese company.
