I saw there's already a placeholder for this project, in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Work_Items called "Create
videos to Teach using LibreOffice". Should I start there?

That could be a good starting point.

Please liaise with Marc Parè (subscribed to most mailing list), who is
in touch with the Indian project which has already produced some videos
(sorry, I have lost track of them).

Marc is generally keeping track of everything, and especially of what
BoD members like Charles and myself are losing because of the workload.

This is in fact a recurring topic that comes up every 6 months or so. It would be nice if you
(Pablo) could take the lead on this.

Pablo: Read this following thread for more information[1]. You will find some input from
Professor Kannan Moudgalya (India) who describes his group of videographers who work on his
project in India, and, Christian Lohmaier (our website guru) describes what may be needed to make
the videos translatable.

My feelings on instructional videos are that they should really be coordinated with the
documentation team where they may have some ideas on what videos would be needed first. This way,
we could then have videos complement the documentation and vice versa. Also, before starting, you
may want to discuss this with Jean Hollis Weber (the documentation lead) before anything. This
may in fact give you a good idea of what type of videos we need first.

I don't know if anyone in the current Documentation group has ideas on what videos would be needed
first. I certainly don't; I haven't really thought about it.

My personal interest is in videos for intermediate users, not beginners, but that audience may not
be the highest priority.

You're certainly welcome to bring the topic up on the documentation list. Coordination is a good
thing.

We do have a YouTube channel[2], it was supposed to exchange hands from the person who had
reserved it to Florian (our TDF/LibreOffice Chairman). I do not think this has occurred yet. But
I am sure this is just a minor detail.

Feel free to post on the marketing list if you need any more information.

Cheers,

Marc
