It would be nice to know how many users are downloading the ISO files.
Torrent and/or direct download.

As long as it is "worth it" to the users I will be making them in English.

Been sick since the day after 3.6.3 came out, so I have not uploaded the
3.6.3 version of the NA-DVD, but it will happen in a day or two.

we can still keep track of the downloads via torrent by counting how many
torrent files are downloaded no?

You will 'miss' the downloads via bittorrent......
all download numbers are approximative, as distribution is not
limited.... But as torrents (the info-files) are also downloaded via
the mirror-system, you can guesstimate the BT-Dowloads by the
downloads of the torrent file.

But downloads via BitTorrent are only a tiny fraction of overall
downloads anyway, so any skew in that number will not make a big
difference.

i thought torrent was a peer-to-peer download mechanism.....
and therfore not measurable at one place how many downloads there are...

Even if only some people download it from openoffice.org, other might be
downloading it from my torrent-client which, i think, is not counted at the
central server ;)

I dont see a 'real' point in measuring, if you start using words as
'approximative' and 'guesstimate'... ;)
