Marc,
After you asked me to write a mission statement, I started my research. I
looked in Alfresco to see where everyone was headed. It seems the type of
document, statement of values and direction, has already been written. It is
LO_next_decade_manifesto.pdf.

I suggest this document be adopted as the marketing blog mission statement.

Hi John:
Seeing as you are also on the libodocs blog, could you see if we could
all get together along with the LibreOffice main blog people to create a
mission statement? IMO, we should have a common mission statement
directing the blogs. This would add consistency across all blogs.
It would be nice if we could have a collaborative effort with a
representative from all 3 blogs to write up a short mission statement. I
don't think we need anything too intricate, but as you implied, a
mission statement would be nice to have as a guiding principle to the blogs.
Maybe an SC member could chime in to give his/her opinion on this.
Cheers
Marc
