I to choose, currently, to install LibreOffice from the web site's
install files instead of doing it through a PPD[?] or through a
not-released-yet repository. It is safer that way. Then there is
the fact the distros sometimes change the packages to make them
"their own versions", so it may be better to use the LibreOffice web
site version.

If you find anything odd with "our own versions" in Debian or Ubuntu,
Rene Engelhard (for Debian) and I (for Ubuntu) would be very interested
to hear about that.

Best Regards,

Bjoern Michaelsen
