Re: [libreoffice-marketing] DVD material updated

Hi :)

Ages ago i think we said that the source code 'should' be on the Cd/dvd along 
with whichever version of LO is being included.  Someone said that just giving a 
link to the source code is enough and space on a Cd is very limited.  


So, including the source code if possible is the preference but not the rule.  

I think it's important to avoid making a rule about this and keep it as flexible 
as the GPL, LGPL and MPL.  It is not as though we want to berate people for 
spreading the software around.

Four points:

a)  Are you going to be making that DVD image publicly available for
other people to download and burn to physically distribute locally;

b)  The file tree does not contain files for 64 bit Windows. All of the
new systems I've seen here, have had 64 bit Windows 7 on them;

c)  The file tree does not contain Linux RPMs. Omitting that is probably
as bad an omission as leaving out the 64 bit Windows files;

d)  How are handling the "source code must be available" issue?
