Dear people,
As a big supporter of LibreOffice I want to share my concerns with the accessibility of the
website. I believe that LibreOffice strives for inclusion. Right now there are some issues with the
site that makes the use harder for some people, like blind people and people with lowered vision.
For example:
Contrast of text is sometimes insufficient.
Links are not meaningful.
Headings are not good, for example an h1 is sometimes missing.
Where can I drop this question? Is this the place?
If I can be of any help in addressing these issues, I’m happy to help.
Hi,
this is the localization list, so the website list might be better. You
can also submit improvements to our Gerrit and add me as a reviewer:

Or just discuss with me via direct email.
I know the LibreOffice brand green colour is not optimal for the
buttons, so it should be changed. You may propose an alternate colour.
There are lots of links, so definitely there can be ones where the
wording should be changed. Whenever I worked on the content, I tried to
improve things. The same holds for the wiki. Ie. not optimal to have
I'm not 100% convinced the missing h1 headings are an issue, but I
suppose I could go in and change the markup in the content to have the
first heading be h1 instead of h2. For the record, the site of JAWS
screen reader vendor Vispero says:
"Missing <h1>
On a similar note, although beginning a heading hierarchy with an <h1>
is a logical and common approach to structuring web content, it’s not a
requirement of either WCAG or the HTML 5.2 specification. While such a
heading hierarchy may be unusual, the absence of an <h1> does not
represent a WCAG failure."
