Not entirely sure if this is a general development question or l10n. Is
there a way of extracting (or even better, making public) the following:
a) usage data of LO instances in a locale (akin to what Mozilla provide
via their blacklist data)
b) download data for a specific locale
c) download/usage data for an extension?
c) existed on the OO extension site and was a useful measure of uptake.
a) should be possible since installed spellcheckers must communicate
with the extension site to update.
Part of the reason for asking is that we know uptake is low for locales
like Gaelic and Irish but also, we're about to try different means of
promoting them and would like to be able to get some data that allows us
to say "here's where we were, on this date we did X and suddenly Y shot up".
Cheers,
Michael
