Whichever tests that are, them proclaiming success is apparently not affected by setting a locale not supported by the OS.

The only place I could identify using an en_US.UTF-8 locale is solenv/gbuild/UITest.mk (passing it through some LIBO_LANG, apparently to be used as LC_ALL in uitest/libreoffice/connection.py). I'm addressing that now with <https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/63360/> "Use C locale in UITest".
