Android and iOS cross-compilation targets work fine (those columns are
green), as far as I see.
That doesn't surprise me. The makefiles for the externals are full of
special cases for those two targets.
What is lacking is any kind of general cross compilation concept.
(I am not saying there should be one though, just stating a fact.)
