Hi Thom,
First off, sorry for the late response.
Moving on to your question, the table style feature
is meant to replace the current AutoFormat feature
for tables. To this point, I haven't touched the UI,
just tried to replace one system with the other in the
layout.
So, while the name is still AutoFormat, the migration
to proper table styles has begun. In order to test things,
just do anything that involves applying an autoformat
to a table. Apply, undo, reapply, insert new cells/rows,
resize, copy-paste, etc.
Some of these are not yet implemented, so they might
just crash or do nothing.
Couple of things to bear in mind:
- Creating a new table style is not yet implemented
- Deleting an existing table style is also disabled
- Saving a document with a table that has a style applied
does not work.
Last, but not least, thank you for your interest.
Best wishes,
Alex
