I know that new LO versions have vastly improved UI design process (with
Glade UI definitions).
The situation for *extensions* is unchanged, they do not have access to
the new layout stuff. Maybe eventually it'll be possible to bundle a .ui
into an extension and have some sane. and suitable for extensions,
translation scheme.
