It is possible you need to do a "make dev-install" again. Not all files are
symlinked from the "install" directory, some a copied there. So just doing
a "make" will not be enough if it is one of those files that are updated.

Just get used to run "make dev-install" relatively often, unless you are
100% sure that the stuff that has changed is symlinked from "install".

If none of what I say make sense, just do "make dev-install" every time you
have changed something.
