Fixed in my tree with the kind help of sbergman. The issue was that
overly restrictive exception specifications were keeping the exception
from trickling up to its catch site.
Will commit when I get my hands back on my smartcard reader :)
Proper fix needs incompatible change to offapi -> done in LibreOffice 4.0
In 3.6, throw different / wrong exception instead :-|
