From a working together perspective, it's almost always not a good idea
to put people off working on something because of saved up changes that
are not committed yet. IMHO it's better to partition the work:
"you work backwards through the find-german-comments output,
in there, and I'll work forward, and I'll race you to the
middle"
or to ensure that you've committed / posted your code fully after each
bit of work you've done :-) in this case, it sounds like you might have
some exciting stuff you've done already; if so - posting it as a patch
to push would be cool.
Perhaps I'm just excited to see what you've achieved so far :-)
