My problem was somehow the same as these links: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37009 http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21387 Maybe the best solution is another property instead of prefix and suffix to format any level with full control. So that some text like "Section \1: Part \2". So the "\1" will be replaced by first level number and "\2" with second level. Thanks again :) Elahi
