Yes I used --enable-debug. And the problem disappeared with my patch and a
clean rebuild. It seems that I had some problems with delivering damke build
modules.

<sigh> seems I did something wrong here, I don't see the --enable-debug in
the config.log ( what a waste of a rebuild then ) :-(


arhggggg I am going senile, looked at the wrong config.log, appears I do
have --enable-debug so my orig question remains, what did you pass to get
the _GLIBCXX_DEBUG enabled bits ?
