Ho hum, now that valgrind is working, I've hit another snag : it won't
let me enter data into context driven dialogs, such as name/password
dialogs, file name dialogs, etc, causing a systematic kill of the app.
So I can't even get to where I want in the app to be able to test it,
argghh.
