Thanks Kohei Yoshida,

My purpose of applying to GSOC was to learn and start contributing to FOSS.
Eventhough I'm good in programming, I haven't worked with other FOSS
projects. I come from a place where it's difficult to find help regarding
these areas, so the concept of mentors was really appealing to me. So what I
was trying to convey is that, I need to get familiar with the system before
I can submit any one of the "easyhacks", and for that I may need guidance
and sometime. I would really love to prove that I'm serious towards the
project for which I've submitted proposals for, but I will need some time
and help before starting with any small patch, especially in this time.
Please let me now your opinions.

Regards,
Rahul

Hi all,

I'm kinda in the same position as Rahul. I have send my proposal for
the port to Android but, as we are nearly at the end of the semester
I'm trying to find time to complete an easy hack for my propsal
between my multiple homeworks and exams. Now when is the limit to
submit the easy hack, is it too late already ?

We are still evaluating the submitted proposals, and have not reached
our final decisions yet, so you still have time to complete and submit
an easy hack. Cedric will probably tell us the details, but I think we
need to reach our final decision by sometime toward the end of next
week. So if I were you I'd hurry up and work on submitting an easy hack
ASAP.
