Hi Christoph,

Kendy, is there anything special within the original HC graphics for the
StartCenter?

Nothing that special, you can see what OOo used previously eg. here:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/artwork/tree/default_images/framework/res?id=54a82864cf74054acdd357eaa4921013a36e9222

Generally, I think we should avoid too much graphics there, as the main
purpose of the high contrast theme is to help people with visual
impairments.

It would be nice to know whether there have been any
modifications concerning the shadows and the like ... here, it is less
about the visual artistry, but the picture size - I experienced LibO/OOo
to be a bit picky in such cases.

But, Michael already talked about some images being removed from the
repository. Thus, I can't find the graphics ... e.g.:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/artwork/tree/default_images/brand/shell

Since I lack some time (and - as usual - some understanding), could you
please provide me some hint what to do? ;-) Thanks in advance!

As Michael mentioned in the other mail, the HC graphics is unused in the
libreoffice-3-3 branch (I am sorry, I did not know that), so it seems
the best thing to do is:

- in 3.3, just force black font in the start centre [any volunteer for
this easy hack?], because the start centre is always white there

- in master, do the images part of the high contrast theme, as Michael
suggested, with proper HC graphics

So I'd say - no hurry, we need the images for master, but we'll use a
workaround for 3.3; unless somebody considers this a blocker [hopefully
not].

Regards,
Kendy
