* Add option to show 'Apply Style' menu in plain text
+ https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62926
+ extra option or combination with existing
+ unclear what controls would be affected (Stuart, c9)
+ afraid of too many options if there are more controls (Heiko)
+ Tools > Options > View is across modules and "Show preview of styles" would be Writer-only (Heiko)
=> run a poll on the blog/ml (Cor)

I have seen your items, but I miss this option:

There exists already the option "StylesAndFormatting - Preview" in the advanced settings, which disables the preview of character styles (including those in paragraph styles). Couldn't a new option go to advanced options too? Or more extreme, make this option affect the drop-down list too?

Kind regards
Regina
