Hello,
The current LibreOffice icon is visually poor. The black ribbon in the upper corner closely
resembles a memorial photo frame, with its black ribbon traditionally used to display the image of
a deceased person. And its blank white page design is dull and lacks visual appeal.
I suggest redesigning the icon with a more distinctive color and a modern, and vibrant visual
style, moving away completely from its current plain, lifeless white look.
As an example, I have created the attached icon design as a possible alternative, and I hope you
may find the concept interesting.
The design uses the initial āLā prominently in the center to represent LibreOffice. The five
horizontal colors represent the LibreOffice applications, following the same color order in which
they appear in the application menu. The green and blue bands are slightly wider to give greater
visual emphasis to Calc and Writer, which are the two most widely used applications, while keeping
the other application colors clearly visible even at the small icon size used in the taskbar.
Regards
Kalem
