The Notebookbars are XML files [0], editable per Glade or text editor. If you 
take a look at the latest changes you figure out quickly what to do.

But please keep in mind that modifications to the UI are always annoying to 
users and we must not do more than necessary. Every patch should have a 
transparent reasoning on a non-technical platform, ie. Bugzilla. We organize 
topics in META tickets, and [1] is about the Tabbed UI with [2] specifically 
about the latest changes in Calc being discussed in the design meeting (this 
week on Thursday [3]). You are very welcome to participate.

You may also join the design chat, we have the major platforms [4] bridged together.
