Dear Zain Tahir,
You may have touched on a topic for which legacy MS-Office-workalike constraints do indeed dictate
some awkwardness (particularly with regard to inner borders - which can be explained in detail)
but, for lack of specificity, I'm not sure that those are the issues bothering you.
For example, you write that
the border interface */feels/* outdated and unintuitive
and
the *workflow */feels/* disconnected from modern UI standards.*
[emphasis on "feels" added]. As you must understand, *feelings* -- ungrounded in any specifics
about the behavior you find discordant and what you regard as ideal -- are at best very nebulous ideas, too
nebulous for design discussion.
A bit more specifically, when you say,
The *presets and previews don’t accurately reflect the applied output.*
I begin to suspect that I may know what is bothering you - but then again, my inference may be
wrong. Again, *specific* examples would be helpful.
Without more specificity, we simply don't have a design discussion.
Kind regards,
John

Right now, the border interface feels outdated and unintuitive:

The *presets and previews don’t accurately reflect the applied output.*
*
The *UI is cluttered*, and the settings don’t offer real-time feedback.
*
*Basic border operations (like applying different styles to
different sides)* require more steps than they should.

In general, the *workflow feels disconnected from modern UI standards.*
I genuinely appreciate the work the team puts in — and I’m only sharing this because I see
potential for massive improvement. A streamlined, modernized border editor (with live preview and
more intuitive layout) would greatly boost productivity and usability.
Thanks for your time and your continued efforts in making LibreOffice better.
Best regards,
*Zain Tahir*
