[libreoffice-design] Agenda for the design/UX meeting 2022-Jan-13 (THU)

Hello all,

the next design/UX meeting is on Thursday, Jan/13,
14:00 CET/GMT+1 resp. 1pm UTC/13:00.

Here is the agenda:

 * RED CROSS -- search toolbar close button's RED color is ambiguous

   + move the close icon from left to the very right edge?

 * Cannot specify a Paragraph Style to use a numbering level (over 1)
   for a chosen Numbering (List) style
   + https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62032
   + tentative mockup in c50

 * Exposing the Safe Mode dialog's guided actions for use directly
   in normal mode
   + https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132127
   + "cohesive" feature with all-in-one dialog (Stuart)
   + restart often/mostly required a fresh profile (Samuel)
   + NAB/WF (Heiko)

 * Removing File > Printer Settings
   + https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94091
   + lengthy discussion about alternatives to configure printing only left
     pages for a particular document/template, for example, while keeping
     generic printer settings at the options
   + unclear function for most users, barely used by anyone, clearly a
     usability flaw (Heiko); planning to resolve WF anyway

 * Drying Ink Feature

   + implemented with file > version; WFM (Heiko)

 * Show a tooltip to guide the user to set user data (when it is not set)
   when inserting a comment

   + tooltip for only the author's name might not be possible
   + well documented and advertised
