Hi Regina,
make a presentation with a colored background. Select an shape icon and
drag-create the shape. Notice, that the shape has no fill.
How did you set the background of the slide? In Format > Page dialog (or
wherever in menu it currently lives) or in the sidebar panel ?
I would guess the latter (you used sidebar) and in that case, I know which
commit set this is a regression from ...
Up to LO 5.1.6 it is created with a default blue fill in all cases. In
LO 5.2 it has no fill in case the slide background is colored.
Is this change intended?
That being said, no, it is absolutely not intended. Please file a bug, you
might tag it as regression right away.
