Google Summer of Code
  * Template Manager (Akshay)
        + How to edit a template without the Template Manager?
            + see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61396 (discussing different 
solutions by the way)
            + follow suggestion from comment #18 with another menu entry "Open for Editing..."

              + con: the same file dialog shows up without indication what will happen
            + have an infobar when a template is opened (Jay)
              + con: would be annoying when always shown
            + add a checkbox to the open dialog "Open as Template" (Samuel)
              + con: adds complexity to the simple file dialog (shown only when ott is selected)
            + Just edit the template when it is opened from the file dialog (Jay)
              + con: in other workflow users want to create a document based on this template (as 
it is right now)
            + Allow editing only from template manager (Akshay)
              + con: there might be people who don't use the tamplate manager
           -> have a dedicated file dialog for template as suggested by Cor in the bug

  * Progress of Area Fill project (Rishabh)
      + Progress for solid colors (names edit field removed)
      + Color picker in sidebar/toolbar has some issues that need to be fixed first
      + Continuing work on pattern section
      + Replanning the work (e.g. multistop gradient is out-of-scope)
      + Rishabh will prepare a blog post about what has been done and what will follow, plus which 
impediments he faced

  * Progress of Sidebar Improvements (Susobhan)
      + Header and Footer panel patch up on gerrit - https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/25781/
      + Styles Panel patch almost finished, draft up on gerrit -

      + Enabled Page Background Panel for Draw (from Impress) and reorganized Properties panel for

      + Working to remove Margin Panel and presets to be moved into Format Panel (as per bug report)

Discussion
    + Writer menu (Cor)
      + Trouble with late Writer menu changes

        + Consistency over modules/apps is a goal, meaning Chart... cannot be moved (Jay)
        + HIG defines a max. of 20 items on root which are exceeded right now (Jay)
