Thank you. With the change of freedesktop TDF bug tracking, I lost track of some reports (In my case I could not import bug repor). Anyway I did not mind sharing ideas. .
I think you should submit bug reports for ruler design and the color toolbar (i've seem similar bars in inkscape and corel draw).
About that, I do not know the criteria for such reports. Every time I make a report of improvement with concepts or mockups, a developer suggests me report ideas directly to the design team through IRC or the mailing list.
