IANAL but I think you can’t relicense to LGPL something that was
derived from an GPL work. I think you should ask Mattieu James (a.k.a.
Tiheum, the author of Faenza) and ask him if he’s fine relicensing his
icon theme to something compatible to LGPL. Also, IIRC the LibreOffice
designers prefer—for the sake of ease—things licensed CC-BY-SA/PD.

Once that’s cleared up, It’d be great if the Faenza icon theme could
finally be shipped in LibreOffice.
