Hello list.
Did anyone consider ripping out the ancient crud in the LibreOffice
gallery component and
replacing the content with some fresh stuff? It's been in there for
decades …
Also, a new icon theme done in SVG should be made available. The old
ones could be
made available as extensions for people with special desire to use these.
You should also push for a working mockup of some of the many
suggestions for a new
user interface. I would say that taking a web browser approach to it is
the only viable option
for the future. E.g tabbed documents as suggested by some people, of
course with the
option to detach. Small but important changes that should be able to
implement with
the current restraints of VCL, until this can be fully replaced. This is
work that should have
started from day one …
