Can you give us a short expected time plan of this?
Of course: yesterday, but be realistic:
We need mindst one week for the proposals, three days for voting

And on your issue it will be better to have a little bit more time 
because it is really important to get a good symbol for the outsiders.

What do you think about making a new wiki page for "Extensions" to work 
on the whole stuff? Or ask someone on the website-ml? I can't do it today.
