Hi Paulo, all!
Your off-topic mail is an excellent idea ... so now let's take some
minutes for a reply, since I love music :-) Okay, I'm not a musician,
but I really enjoy to listen to music if there is some time.

Hi folks!
I know this is an absolutely OFF-TOPIC* email. Please, skip this if you
don't have time left... But I think it would be great to share our
musical tastes and maybe even discover some nice music.
Go, go, go!
So, my ask is simple: **What are you listening now?**
Right now I am with recent pop music:
* Bruno Mars - Grenade
* Britney Spears - Hold it Against Me
* Lady Gaga - Born This Way.
At the very moment, it's just radio ... although I have to say that I
quickly get annoyed by most of the radio stations, especially the
moderators. Although it is a really tough job to "entertain" the crowd
24 hours a day, sometimes it would be helpful to limit time for
moderators, and instead spend it on broadcasting good music :-)
But, there are a few excellent public network radio stations in Germany,
with a great variety of (not so often repeated) music, and well educated
moderators.
But in the last months I've been listening many of my ever preferred
artists. Some great music to check:
* **Amr Diab**: Aslaha Betefre2; Wayah; Enta El Gali; Ne'ol Eh.
* **Celine Dion**: Taking Chances; I Drove All Night; Eyes on Me.
* **Robbie Williams**: No Regreats; Difficult For Weirdos; Starstruck;
Supreme; The Road to Mandalay.
* **Frank Sinatra**: It Was a Very Good Year; The Way You Look Tonight;
Luck Be a Lady.
* **Mariah Carey**: For the Record; Migrate; 100%.
* **Others**: Kylie Minogue; Shayne Ward; Elissa (Lebanese singer); John
Williams (soundtrack composer)...
Your turn.
Nice collection ;-)
In general, there are always songs / artists performing different music
styles I tend to like - whether it is Pop, Heavy Metal, Classical Music.
But here are the ones that really had some impact on me during the last
months ...
Sa Dingding: A Chinese artist doing almost "everything". The song I've
got addicted to (first) was "Alive". And I had the chance to see her in
Germany last year ... that required quite some traveling. The funny
thing: Nobody else knew her, so I had the chance to be in the first row,
and to chat with her band after the show.
Rupa and the April Fishes: Rupa performs in different languages and
easily switches between different styles. Amazing, so to say.
And, if this matters to you, the recordings of these artists are just
superb. Excellent mixing without any artificial sound ...
Currently I've also re-discovered Loreena McKennitt who performs "world
music" - something to really relax ... I really love all the Celtic
stuff :-)
*Maybe it can be part of the third step of our Kick-Off... What do you
think, Christoph? :D :P
Aehm, yes :-)
Cheers,
Christoph
