Hi Kevin, Drini!
Nice to meet you :-) And thanks a lot for your offers!
And just some small addition to Bernhard's mail - there is already a
list of tasks we are working on (a bit hidden, I agree *G*). Some of
them relate to create or extend available artwork:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Work_Items
Watch out for the "todo" marker ... for example, we miss high quality
"high contrast artwork" for the branding in LibreOffice / BrOffice. It
might be a simple start, but this would be absolutely helpful for a lot
of people if included in one of the very next releases.
Well, maybe this helps a bit ...
Cheers,
Christoph

To whom it may concern:
I would be happy to help LibreOffice with anything related to
design. I feel I have a well-enough understanding of Inkscape and
GIMP.
(Sorry, I have no access to Adobe products at this time.)
Neither do I ;-)
So, if you ever need help with anything, I'll do my best to help
out.
Thank you very much for your kind offers.
There are several tasks that need consideration - some more urgent, some
less.
As you probably know, the design team consist of two large areas:
User Experience (short UX) Design (including UI design) and Visual
Design (including Branding design).
For more detailed information please have a look at our wiki, the area,
where we collect and present our ideas and drafts:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design
Björn already mentioned one present task in the UX area, some others in
the Visual Design area are
- banners (general and for FOSDEM)
- web buttons / avatars
- CD/DVD covers and labels
- logos for supporters etc.
We will need to provide all these informations in the wiki, but at the
moment it seems that nobody has enough time to create and maintain such
a detailed page (similar to the "easy hack" page the developers provide).
We still need to work on the icons that are on their way in LibO 3.3.1
and we should have the time to define our goals and the way how to reach
them.
Pick what you think is appropriate to you,
create an account on the wiki and upload your artwork, drafts and
proposals there,
join the discussions here on our list
and finally: Have as much fun as we have!
Welcome again!
Bernhard
