I agree about trying the 3.5.6 or even the 3.5.5.
However, it would be great to post bug-reports about things not working in
3.6.0. If the devs get the bug-reports early in the branch's life then they
might be able to fix those things earlier too. As Carlo says each branch is

It annoys me that the x.x.0 releases are put on the main downloads page
without making it clear there is a more stable and often more recent release
available that might suit most people more. The .0 is the more exciting one
with tons of new features added but a lot of people want something that is
more reliable even if that means missing out on new features. The marketing
list can't seem to understand that.
Simply +1 to the n-th power (that yield 1 anyway ;-) )!
